Liberal Arts and Sciences Interdisciplinary Studies Major
Students may complete an approved LAS interdisciplinary major program in African and African American Studies. An interdisciplinary major consists of 27-40 credits of course work from various departments designed to reflect the student’s particular interests and goals. For detail see the General Catalog under the headings African and African American Studies and LAS Cross-Disciplinary Studies.
African American Studies Minor requires 18 credits in the program including Introduction to African American Studies (AFAM 201). Independent study opportunities in a particular area of interest are also available for credit (AFAM 490).
